Last night I was on the road in a car. My mom was driving and we were going to Japan. It was a lot closer than I ever thought it would be. On the way we drove past a river and there were cars floating down the river. I at first thought it was from the tsunami devastation, but then realized people were driving their cars into the river on purpose and after a bit of juggling around, the cars would float and they would ride peacefully down the river. I knew our car would not float, but had a rubber ducky that I could stand on and float. My mother also hopped into the river on her own floating device. The river ended abruptly at a cement wall where there was a slushy machine. I was thirsty so I found some cups. Upon realizing I was being watched by a waiter, I asked there was a water faucet around. He sent me into a restaurant where he said I could sign some release papers and ask the owner (a mean looking guy named Nigro) for some water. I decided that Japan must have different rules about getting a drink in a restaurant than America. I asked the Nigro for some water and he so forcefully poured the water that it knocked the cups out of my hands and onto the floor. I asked him to try it again after picking up the cups. He obliged, but said I had some nerve to dare to ask again. I told him I not afraid... and thanks for the water. I took a cup to my mom and she was very thirsty and drank it eagerly. She had made some friends and was talking in a group of people.
DREAM 2
I'm not as coherent about dream 2. It had something to do with living arrangements. I dream about this one fairly often. Where the house I live in... or am moving out of... has rooms that open into more rooms... and finally into some kind of campground or stable. It's the house of unending rooms! This time I had moved out of the house and was trying to give someone else a tour. I had a few more thiings to move out of the house. I carried my stereo to the edge of a cliff and had to climb down with it in my arms. I decided to lower it by its power cord instead and it broke in half and crashed to the ground. I threw the remaining speaker left in my hand to the ground and watched it shatter, thinking... I can always buy a boom box. My new place was not a rental but a place I had bought. I suddenly remembered that I had my dog Shadow out back and he had been there a long time without food and water. To my relief he was OK and the puppy with him was OK too. I felt so awful to have neglected him. The house from behind was supposed to be my grandmother's house (mom's mother). I have had previous dreams that provide the history for that house. It was open and airy and had lots of windows. the back porch was like windows in panes and was very inviting.
